Very laid back irish bar. Our server was fantastic. Plenty of indoor seating and some ourdoor as well. Lots of options on the menu, it was almost hard to choose. Everyone in my party enjoyed their food. I ordered the Irish Cheesesteak and let me say this little Irish girl from Philly 100% approves!! Prices were all reasonable. Street parking only. We went down stairs to see the old prohibition tunnel before we left, which was pretty cool! Would definitely reccomend!!

We were here for our final night in Pottsville. We had a nice dinner. My husband was very curious because of the speakeasy part! He had a Dark Lord (with Lord Chesterfield and Yeungling porter since the restaurant was out of stout) that he liked, and an Italian beef sandwich. We had cheese steak eggrolls, which were good, and I had a Jim's special steak sandwich. We were stuffed!

I was visiting my parents who live in the area, from out of state, and they insisted we needed to go to The Wooden Keg. What an awesome bar! I loved the historical note of the location with the Molly Maguires. Growing up in the Skook, I know quite a bit about them, so it was awesome to see the tunnel and the historical information shared in the decor. We had quite a few of their different entrees: loaded Irishman fries, roasted garlic parm wings, pierogies, French onion soup, blackened shrimp Alfredo, a brisket sandwich, buffalo chicken cheesesteak, and Mac and cheese. Our entire group was in love with the food, experience, and service. When we’re back in the area, we will definitely return!! I had the wings this time but next, I will definitely have one of their many Mac and cheeses (and some more wings because they are the best I’ve had to date!) I was super impressed by my moms Mac and cheese she chose, usually they are dry, under cheesed and under seasoned at restaurants. Not at The Wooden Keg! It’s creamy, cheesy and super flavorful. Can’t wait to come back!!

Found this place on a whim, and glad we did! This is one of the nicest places we have found to eat. Great food and waitress was very nice, a very unique place, the menu was a one of a kind, meaning if when you go to a place if small details make you happy, this is the place you want to go. Highly Recommended.

After visiting Yuengling, we came here for lunch. We looked up the area pubs and taverns, and came across the menu that I salivated over for 2 weeks. We ended up at the St. Clair location, which has a little different menu.... but don't let change your mind on location. The charm of this pub made me feel as I was in Ireland. I had the Irish Steak Sandwich, as I am from Philly, and she had the Paddy Melt. We shared the Guinness Gravy Fries. I ended up taking half of the cheesesteak home, as I was stuffed. The food was delicious, cheesesteak far exceeded my expectations ! Remember I'm from Philly, so I have had my share to compare to! We will be back to try their wings! That sauce selection is incredible! It also has a very interesting book case....

Met a friend for appetizers and drinks. A great Irish pub atmosphere with the music to boot! Both the Philly eggrolls and Irish eggrolls are worth the trip. A great beer selection made this a place I won’t soon forget.

We went to their 1st brunch special today called Bubble & Squeek and the 4 of us enjoyed our food. I tried the dish that the event was named after and it was amazing. My friend got their waffles and they looked incredible and she said they were very good. Her husband got the Irish cheesesteak, which he said it was the best cheesesteak he's had in a long time. My husband got they same thing I had and he enjoyed every mouthful. We were at the St. Clair location and chose to sit downstairs because of the feel and history. We've been here several times, it's an hour drive, and it's always been great and the people we take along enjoy it as well. It's an Irish restaurant and bar with a history of the Molly Maguire's so they have irish dishes as well as regular menu items. Definitely give this place a try and the brunch is a must!
